The Salvation Army Gateway is a shelter and drop-in center for adults experiencing homelessness in the downtown core of Toronto.

We aim to be a Gateway, for all people who enter here, towards things such as community, belonging, dignity, respect, recovery, reconciliation, friendship, and God. We are a community that works diligently to send a strong and clear message to all people who come here that everyone in our midst is equal. No one who comes here, including staff, volunteers, funders, or community members, is more or less important than anyone else

We believe that all people have been created in the image of God. Therefore we believe that every person has gifts to offer the world. It is out of our faith in the Creator God that we do not believe that there is anyone that comes here that has no hope.
